Our Services

Rayonier New Zealand provides a full range of forestry services from establishment and silviculture through to harvesting and marketing and a full service export marketing team.  We use leading-edge technology and tools for strategic woodflow planning and mapping and develop customised applications that provide a competitive edge for tracking and monitoring.  Rayonier supplements the Matariki Forests volume with logs purchased from a number of different sources including other forests managed by Rayonier and logs purchased from other forest owners.

Rayonier | Matariki Forests look to improve the new plantations we establish each year with improved planting systems and advanced genetics and forest nutrition.  We are actively engaged in forest health research and work with all other major forest owners to ensure our forests are monitored for pests and diseases.  We continue to invest in new harvesting and transport technologies along with training programmes that will lead to productivity improvements and keep Matariki and New Zealand as a competitive supplier of forest products to the world.
