Forest nutrition expert

Tom Fox, a forest nutrition expert and Rayonier’s Vice President Forest Productivity and Sustainability in the US, was recently in New Zealand to visit a number of Rayonier Matariki Forests and share some of his latest findings on forest nutrition and soils.

Tom Fox, a forest nutrition expert and Rayonier’s Vice President Forest Productivity and Sustainability in the US, was recently in New Zealand to visit a number of Rayonier Matariki Forests and share some of his latest findings on forest nutrition and soils.

Rayonier Matariki Forests is currently running ‘fertiliser at establishment’ trials in Woodhill Forest and is working collaboratively with US colleagues in trial design and analysis. This is one of a series of trials designed to better understand nutritional requirements and the economic case of treatment to improve the value of our estates.
